What's Open and Closed for the Holiday

Government, schools and banks are closed; most stores and entertainment venues will open.

Today is Memorial Day. It is a federal and state holiday. Here is what's open and closed:

City of Bethlehem: City Hall closed.

Bethlehem Township: Township building closed.

Bethlehem Area School District: Schools closed, child care centers closed, offices closed.

Garbage: Check with your private hauler.

Banks: Have the option to open. Most will close.

Retail: Most retail establishments and entertainment establishments will open today.

Federal: All federal offices are closed.

State: All state offices are closed, including PennDOT driver license centers are closed.

Courts: State and federal courts are closed.
