Tornado Watch Issued for Lehigh Valley

A strong cold front is expected to move through east central and Northeast Pennsylvania tonight, bringing heavy rain and a chance of thunderstorms.

 

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for more than 30 eastern Pennsylvania counties—including the Lehigh Valley—until 11 tonight.

It is expected to be breezy with wind gusts of up to 39 mph. The weather service says the chance of rain is 100 percent, with three-quarters-of-an-inch of precipitation anticipated.
