A quick-moving storm is expected to bring snow to Bethlehem this afternoon and tonight, according to a hazardous weather outlook issued by the National Weather Service.
Snow could start falling after 3 p.m. and bring a coating to an inch of snow, the Weather Service predicts.
While this is not a large amount of snow by Pennsylvania standards, the timing of the storm’s arrival could make for a slippery commute home during the Friday evening rush hour.
Also, the frigid temperatures will remain. Today’s forecast high is 22 degrees with a northwest wind that could make it feel more like -1.
Temperatures will continue to stay well below freezing over the weekend. We could see a warm-up next week, but not before another chance for a winter storm on Monday that could feature snow, freezing rain and sleet.
