The race to become Bethlehem's next mayor may be confined to the May 21 Primary as only Democratic City Councilmen Bob Donchez and J. William Reynolds filed nominating petitions for the office by Tuesday's deadline. With the mayor’s office, city controller’s office and four City Council chairs up for grabs, only one registered Republican, hot dog vendor Chris Morales, filed nominating papers for City Council. As the filing deadline past, it also became clear that City Councilwoman Jean Belinski will end her tenure after four terms and 16 years.
