Maintenance Planned on Route 22 and Route 33

PennDOT says you might expect delays during daytime hours this week for repairs and inspections.

Β

If you do any daytime driving along Route 22 or Route 33 today and Tuesday, you might expect some lane restrictions and delays for road maintenance projects, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation warns.

In Bethlehem Township, an inspection is planned of the Route 33 overpass over Route 22, which will prompt an eastbound lane closure between Route 191 and Route 248.

In Whitehall Township, bridge repairs will shut an eastbound lane of Route 22 between MacArthur Road and Fullerton Avenue today and a westbound lane between Airport Road and Fullerton Road on Tuesday.

Pothole patching is planned the length of Route 33 in Northampton County – in both directions – from today through the end of the week. The roving operation may mean sudden temporary lane closures almost anywhere along the highway.
