Good Friday: What's Open, What's Closed

Many local government offices are closed for the Christian calendar's holiest day of the year.

 

Schools and most local government offices will be closed in observance of Good Friday, the holiest day of the year on the Christian calendar. Here is a listing of openings and closings for the holiday:

Bethlehem City Hall is closed.

Bethlehem Area School District schools are closed.

Bethlehem Township municipal offices are closed.

Bethlehem Area Public Library is closed.

Northampton County Courthouse is closed.

Lehigh County Courthouse is closed

Northampton and Lehigh county government offices are closed.

District Judge offices are closed in Lehigh and Northampton counties.

State offices are open

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation driver's license and photo centers are open.

LANTA buses will run on a normal weekday schedule.

Pennsylvania Liquor stores are open.

Federal offices are open. 

Post offices are open. 

Retail: Most retail and entertainment establishments are open.

Banks are open.
