Flash Flood Watch Begins Tonight

National Weather Service issues flood watch for 10 p.m. through Wednesday afternoon.

 

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch has for Bethlehem and all of the Lehigh Valley starting at 10 p.m. tonight and through Wednesday afternoon, with between one and three more inches of rain expected.

The impacts could be seen in small streams, poor drainage areas, urban areas and some roads, according to the advisory.

A low pressure is expected to move into the area later tonight, bringing with it large amounts of rain in a very short period of time, according to the weather service. Rain will be heavy at times tonight and early Wednesday morning as the system moves to the northeast.
