Air Quality Alert Issued for Second Straight Day

There is a good chance we will get thunderstorms this afternoon.

For the second straight day, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has issued a code orange air quality alert for the Lehigh and Northampton counties.

A code orange alert means that air pollution concentrations may become unhealthy for people sensitive to respiratory problems, including the aged, young children, people with asthma or other lung ailments or heart disease.

It is advisable for people with these problems to avoid exercise or other strenuous outdoor activity.
