Good morning, Bethlehem. Today is Wednesday, July 20, 2011, 16 days until Musikfest.

  1. On this day in 1969, American astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed the Lunar Module "Eagle" on the Moon’s Sea of Tranquility, becoming the first human beings to successfully make the trip from the Earth to the Moon. Said Armstrong to Mission Control: "The Eagle has landed."

In a “hazardous weather statement,” issued by the National Weather Service on Tuesday night, “a period of excessive heat and humidity is likely from Thursday into the weekend.” We are already expecting our third straight 90-plus degree day today.
