  1. Today is Friday, June 24, 2011, 183 days to Christmas in the Christmas City. Pothole patching was scheduled to be continuing today along Applebutter Road. The Hill-to-Hill Bridge mess remains as it has been.
  2. The RiverJazz Festival at SteelStacks continues tonight, beginning at 6 p.m., with free concerts on the Air Products Town Square by the Eric Mintel Quartet followed by the Central Park Stompers, starting at 9:30. The Clayton Brothers play upstairs at the Musikfest Café, starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets at $49 and $39 are still available. Apropos of nothing in particular, “The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms,” is the Revenge of the Late Night Movie selection at 11:15 in the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas.
  3. Free folk music and contra dancing are planned at the Sculpture Garden outside of at 6 p.m. with The Great Bear Trio.
  4. A group known as is putting on a production of “Cinderella” at the Charles A. Brown Ice House at . Tickets are $15, $10 for students and seniors and $5 for children. Proceeds from tickets benefit the families of service members from the Lehigh Valley.
  5. The Lehigh Valley Story Festival begins at 7:30 p.m. at . It’s campfire style stories tonight and old time music on Saturday. Tickets are $10.
