5 Things to Know Today

Rain in the forecast, learn about funding to further your education, City Council meets tonight.

Good morning Bethlehem. Today is Tuesday September 20, 2011.

  1. Bring an umbrella. The National Weather Service says we have an 80 percent chance of rain. The good news is that the rain could end in the afternoon. The forecast high temperature is 69 degrees.
  2. PennDOT crews will be once again be cutting brush along the eastbound lanes of Route 22 between Schoenersville Road and Route 191. There could be lane restrictions. Expect delays. Similarly, a shoulder-widening project along Applebutter Road will also result in lane restrictions and could cause travel delays.
  3. CareerLink of the Lehigh Valley, 1601 Union Boulevard, Allentown, hosts a workshop on “funding education,” from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Find out about state and federal grants, loans and scholarships that can help you pay to further your education and improve your earning potential.
