Pennoni's Jason Coleman Named Chairman of ICRI Subcommittees

Pennoni Associates is pleased to announce that Jason Coleman, PE, has been appointed to leadership roles on two International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) subcommittees.

Mr. Coleman will serve as chairman for Chapter 6 and co-chairman for Chapter 7 of the ICRI’s Committee 150, “Notes on ACI Code 562.” The American Concrete Institute (ACI) Code 562, titled “Code Requirements for the Repair and Rehabilitation of Concrete Buildings,” was formed following studies indicating that 50% of concrete repairs failed after two to three years.

The ICRI committee was formed in a joint effort with ACI to develop a code for concrete repair and notes to assist engineers, architects, contractors, owners, and material supplies on how to understand and use the code requirements. Chapter 6 is titled “Evaluation and Analysis” and covers the requirements for performing structural evaluations and assessments of concrete buildings. Chapter 7 is titled “Design of Structural Repairs” and includes the requirements for repairing damaged and deficient concrete in buildings.
