Sands Shopping Mall Will Open in November

The announced today that it would be opening a new luxury outlet shopping center with at least 30 nationally known stores in November.

The Shoppes at Sands, as it is being called, will have more than 200,000 square feet of space and will be connected to the casino and adjacent to a 300-room Sands Bethlehem Hotel, which is scheduled to open in May.

The new mall will be a retail outlet mall, which according to a Sands news release will give shoppers an “opportunity to browse premium, brand name shops with more affordable price points.”

“Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem has become a major entertainment destination for the entire tri-state area, and we’re pleased to add another reason to visit with the outlet center,” casino President Robert DeSalvio said through the release.

“With a convenient location only 90 minutes from New York and one hour from Philadelphia, we hope shoppers from all surrounding areas will visit and take advantage of the great selection from nationally known retailers.”

The casino opened in May 2009 and currently has 3,000 slots machines and 100 table games. It also has numerous dining choices, including three different restaurants that have famed television chef Emeril’s name on them.
