Rick Springfield, Kansas Coming to Event Center

80s heartthrob Rick Springfield coming to Sands Bethlehem Event Center on October 19; Classic rockers Kansas coming on September 14.

 

Eighties’ singing and acting heartthrob Rick Springfield and classic rockers Kansas have been announced as the newest acts coming to the Sands Bethlehem Event Center.

Kansas will take the stage September 14 at 8 p.m., with opening act King’s X.  Along with touring, Kansas continues to remain a fixture of Classic Rock radio and has reached a whole new audience through their unmistakable presence on the popular video games Rock Band and Guitar Hero.

The band is best known for its two biggest hits from the 1970s, “Carry on Wayward Son,” and “Dust in the Wind.”

Tickets range from $35.00 to $65.00 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.

Rick Springfield will take the stage at 8 p.m., October 19. To date, Springfield has sold over 19 million records with 17 top-40 hits.

None of his records was bigger than “Jessie’s Girl,” a number 1 single, which helped to make him a pop culture sensation in 1981, the same year he began playing Dr. Noah Drake on the TV soap opera General Hospital.

Tickets for Rick Springfield will go on sale at 10 a.m. on June 29 and range from $35.00 to $59.50.
