Auto racing legend Mario Andretti will help celebrate the name change of well-known area real estate company Prudential Patt, White—a change that brings part of billionaire Warren Buffett's empire to the Lehigh Valley.

The kickoff party for Patt, White's name change to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach, Realtors will be held from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Nov. 12 at the company's office at 3601 Nazareth Road (Route 248 and Northwood Avenue), Palmer Township.

Buffett, considered one of the world's richest people, is Berkshire Hathaway's chairman and CEO.

Andretti, a longtime Nazareth-area resident and founder of the racing legacy that bears his name, will sign autographs with donations being accepted for the Fund for Children & Youth, according to information provided by Patt, White.

Andretti's daughter, Barbra, is an agent in the Palmer office.

Patt, White is an affiliate of the Philadelphia-based Fox & Roach.

An Aug. 22 news release posted on the website warrenbuffett.com explained that Fox & Roach and its affiliate Patt, White were purchased by HomeServices of America Inc., a division of Berkshire Hathaway. Berkshire also purchased The Trident Group, part of Prudential Fox & Roach’s mortgage division, the release said.

For the next year, the release said, local business signs will also say "formerly Patt, White," according to Brad Patt, the local company's regional manager and senior vice president.

"The company has a rich 60-year history in the Lehigh Valley, and [it is] actually the largest residential Realtor in the area," the release said. "The new affiliation with HomeServices will expand employee and customer opportunities by allowing them to access larger resources with the company and a broader reach demographically."

Brad Patt said in the release, “We are very proud to be part of HomeServices of America and we are joining an organization that is in alignment with our high service and integrity.”

In addition to Andretti's appearance, the kickoff party will include a ribbon-cutting at 4:30 p.m.
