Billy's Diner Owner Behind Reality Show

Open casting call for show based on Billy Kounoupis's book will be in Nazareth this afternoon.

 

Want to start your own business? Want to be on TV? Then you may want to be in Nazareth between noon and 3 p.m. for an open casting call for a new reality series described by the casting director as a cross between American Idol, Shark Tank and The Apprentice.

Start Me Up is the name of the new show that will be produced by Heyman Talent and Billy Kounoupis, owner of on E. Broad Street, Bethlehem, according to this story in The Morning Call.

The show is based on the business template described in Kounoupis’ book, Billy Cooks Like a Mother: A Guide to Starting Your Own Business by Someone Who's Been There and Done That.

Michael Owen, director of Heyman Talent in Nazareth, told the newspaper that a national television network has bought the show, but he could not reveal further details.

According to the Heyman Talent Website, there appeared to be slots open for auditions for the pilot episode. The auditions are at the Heyman Talent office at 103 S. Main St., Nazareth.
