2014 Sculpture Garden Concert Series

The Bethlehem Fine Arts Commission is pleased to announce another exciting lineup of musicians for our upcoming summer concert series:“Friday Evenings in the Sculpture Garden” from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. 
 
June 13 – CoraCree 
A contemporary contra dance band that melds together a mixture of traditional music and plays it with an improvisational twist. Join the Valley Contra Dance Society for this special evening of music and dancing in the garden! 
June 20 – The Tom Goehring Quintet 
“Unhurried classic sounding small group jazz” delivered by trumpet player/composer Tom Goehring and his quintet. A perfect listening experience for a summer’s evening in the garden. 
June 27 – Philadelphia Funk Authority 
Got funk? Come hear why the PFA is billed as the best dance and party band in Philly … and quite possibly the entire universe! 
July 11 – Dave Fry’s Fabulous Fractal Folk 
From blues to bluegrass, Celtic to kids, Dave and his trio explore the nooks and crannies of contemporary folk music. 
July 18 – Hector Rosado and his Orchestra Hache:
 “A Tribute to Linny Fowler”
 
The 2014 concert series ends with a very special concert honoring the generosity of Linny Fowler, one of our community’s most beloved benefactors. Hot salsa, meringue and Latin jazz will be performed by international percussionist Hector Rosado and his orchestra. 

Concerts are held in the beautiful, shady amphitheater style Sculpture Garden just east of Bethlehem City Hall. The concerts are held rain or shine. Rain location is in the City HALL Rotunda, next door. These concerts have rapidly become a favorite start to a summer weekend. “Folks bring lawn-chairs or blankets and picnic suppers. 

The concerts are held Friday evenings from 6-8 pm in June and July and are FREE TO THE PUBLIC!
