The Bethlehem Fine Arts Commission has announced the winners of the 2013 Tribute to the Arts awards, who will be honored at the presentation reception on Tuesday, September 17th from 5:30 – 7 p.m. at Atelier Dualis, 91 W. Broad Street, one of Bethlehem’s newest fine arts venues.

Awardees include innovative educators Jeffrey Boerner and Cliff Buckner of the Fab Lab at Northampton Community College; Jennifer Wescoe, theatre, drama and TV broadcasting teacher and director of the Bethlehem School District; and Andy Po, activist and promoter of the Bethlehem Skateplaza, who will receive The Mayor’s Award.

The Fab Lab at NCC is recognized for its groundbreaking work in bringing ideas of craft and science to life.  Jennifer Wescoe has inspired students, both traditional and those with special needs, to step up on stage and speak out, as presented in a documentary featured on national media.  Andy Po’s vision and perseverance brought a Skateplaza and community mural to Bethlehem’s Southside as part of the Parks Department Greenway plan.
