Lincoln: You've seen the movie, now meet the man

Renowned Lincoln reenactor presents two programs at the Library on Saturday, May 11. The children's event begins at noon and the adult presentation begins at 2 P>M>

Abraham Lincoln is visiting the Main Library on Saturday, May 11. Bring a blanket and a picnic lunch to hear boyhood stories about the president. Award-winning actor Jim Getty will invoke Lincoln’s young life on the west side of the Library near the Japanese Tea House at noon. Registration is not required for the picnic. More info...

Jim Getty will re-enact the president’s personal and public life at a one-man performance at 2 p.m. on the second floor of the Main Library.  Getty has portrayed the famous president at the Kennedy Center, The Reagan Presidential Library, The Library of Congress, and the National Theater in Washington. “President Lincoln” will field questions at a “press conference” and pose for photographs following the dramatic presentation.
