Bethlehem Area Public Library offers new Fall programs and resources for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Get more information.

Bethlehem Area Public Library offers programs and resources for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Register for Family Place at the South Side Branch, 400 Webster Street. Children, ages one to three, play while their parents swap parenting tips and meet one-on one with community resource professionals. The program incorporates play, music, art and stories to promote healthy child development and literacy. Siblings are welcome to attend, also. The five week program is on Wednesdays at  11 a.m. beginning September 14.

Fall Storytimes start up in September for both locations. Stories, songs and fingerplays facilitate letter and number recognition and develop language skills and reading readiness. Registration for Storytimes at the Main Library, 11 W. Church Street, began September 6. Eight classes a week are offered for babies, toddlers, preschoolers and families. The Branch has bilingual classes for active toddlers and families.

For a full schedule or to register online, visit www.bapl.org or phone the Main Library at 610-867-3761 x499, or 610-867-7852 to reach the South Side Branch. Registration is limited to residents of Bethlehem, Bethlehem Township, Fountain Hill, Freemansburg, Hanover Township (Northampton County) and Lower Saucon Township.
