Wedding Planning Tips: Using tools from the Internet

The internet can be an incredible tool for wedding planning. Though it will never replace a Brides trusty wedding binder! (your "Bible" for your planning process) the internet makes the gathering and sharing of ideas super convenient. Here are our favorite tips.

1. Pinterest. Make and use a board! "Follow" your vendors to stay up to date with their latest offerings. Use it to store ideas. For example, make a board of your favorite poses and "share" it with your photographer. They'll appreciate the direction and you'll very clearly share examples of what styles you like best.

2. Shazam. I always suggest to our clients with smart phones to install shazam. Normally we book our DJ's about a year or more in advance. Once a couple books their itinerary and planning forms are available to work on. We suggest installing shazam so when your working/driving/walking ect. and you hear that perfect song for your reception, just Shazam it! Not only does it tell you the artist and song title but you can set it up to email you all the information you collected to plug it in your planning documents and build your ultimate playlist!

3. Facebook. Not a replacement for good ole fashion phone calls, emails and most important critical face to face planning meetings with your vendors, but Facebook can be a great tool for staying connected after you book. Again, stay up to date with their latest offerings see their latest work (to mine ideas for your wedding!) and even communicate with them over IM. We always tell our brides to feel free to IM us with messenger. It's nice because you can talk in real time like a phone convo, but copy and paste the dialogue to keep a record of what you discussed! Much easier then taking notes on a phone call.
