Visit Bach Choir's New Home Wednesday

Historic building will become headquarters for reknowned choir's administration

A historic building will be the new home for one of Bethlehem's most renowned institutions.

The administrative offices of the Bach Choir will move from 423 Heckewelder Place to the 1810 Heckewelder House located at 440 Heckewelder Place in the city.

The public is invited to an open house from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday with a ribbon cutting ceremony scheduled for 6 p.m.

As the choir's new headquarters, the home of missionary and author John Heckewelder will be open to the public for the first time. The building gives the choir space to host meetings and special events such as intimate musical presentations.

Expanded office space, a music library, archives, research room and foyer with display cases are included.
