Tonight at the Musikfest Cafe: Martin Sexton
Singer/songwriter brings his considerable skill to SteelStacks
The talented Martin Sexton comes to the Musikfest Cafe tonight. A singer/songwriter, Sexton is known for his “raw” talent – a spirited and soulful voice, solid guitar skills, and the ability to improvise.
His music is influenced by country, soul, rock, blues and gospel. It all began in 1992, when he released a collection of self-produced demo recordings titled “In the Journey.” Since then, Sexton has released eight other albums and has collaborated with many artists including Dave Matthews, Peter Frampton and John Mayer, who refers to him as “the best live performer I’ve ever seen.”
