'Spiderman 2' to Feature Lehigh Valley's Dane DeHaan

Lehigh Valley native Dane DeHaan has landed the role of Peter Parker's friend Harry Osborn in 'Spiderman 2.'

Dane DeHaan says he's working out six days a week and eating 3,000 calories a day to bulk up for his role as Harry Osborn in "Spiderman 2."

The Emmaus High School graduate is prepping for his new role after scoring a cameo in Steven Spielberg's Civl War epic "Lincoln."

Production on "Spiderman 2" started about two weeks ago and DeHaan will begin shooting his scenes soon, according to MovieWeb. The movie is scheduled to open in May 2014 and stars Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Shailene Woodley, Sally Field, Dane DeHaan, Andrew Garfield, Martin Sheen, Felicity Jones.

Chris Cooper will play the role of Norman Osborn, IFC reports.

DeHaan, who grew up in Zionsville, stars as Andrew Detmer in "Chronicle, Wettest County" due out July 28 opposite an all-star cast. Also coming up, he appears opposite Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper in "The Place Beyond the Pines," and opposite Daniel Radcliffe in "Kill Your Darlings."
