Rick Springfield, a 1980s pop idol best known for megahit “Jessie’s Girl,” is sick this week, forcing him to cancel several tour dates, including one scheduled Friday night at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center.
However, the Sands announced Wednesday that Springfield will be coming to Bethlehem on Dec. 1 instead.
Tickets for the Friday night (Oct. 19) show will be honored on Dec. 1, according to an Event Center news release. Remaining tickets will be made available for the rescheduled performance.
Springfield became a huge star in 1981 when “Jessie’s Girl” soared to Number 1 on the pop charts and he started playing Dr. Noah Drake on television’s “General Hospital.”
