Nazareth Concert to Benefit Japan Tsunami Victims

The Valley's Japanese community is holding fundraiser tonight to raise money for relief fund.

Acoustic guitarist Trevor Gordon Hall returns Saturday night to the Nazareth Center for the Arts to help raise money for the Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami relief efforts of the American Red Cross.

The Japanese Community of the Lehigh Valley is holding the fundraiser, which will be held from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

"More than one month has passed since the terrible earthquake and tsunami, but 138,000 people are still staying in the shelters and they are still in need of water, food, and medication," said Atsuko Widodo, whose relatives in Sendai, the capital of Miyagi Prefecture in Japan, were affected by the tsunami.

Hall's talent is well recognized within the industry;

“Trevor is a virtuoso. I’ve never seen a guitarist/composer this good at his age (23). He may not sell a million records (the Christmas album might), but he’ll win a Grammy and do great numbers for his niche. I truly believe Trevor’s career will go on to prove him one of the greatest guitarist/composers of all time.” – Joe Nicolo, President of Revel Music Group.

In addition to music Saturday night, an art exhibit will be on display by Raffaele DePamphilis, and Foundation Peace, founded by Patch contributor Shelley Goldberg, will be selling bracelets.

All attendees will receive paper origami as a thank you.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased through the online Box Office.
