Latin Festival Set for June 17-19 at ArtsQuest Center and Steelstacks

¡Sabor!, the first festival to take place at SteelStacks, will feature three days of music, food and dance celebrating the region’s Latino culture.

Performances by Grammy winner Arturo Sandoval and Tito Puente Jr. & His Orchestra and a Latino parade highlighting will highlight the first ¡Sabor! Latin Festival set for June 17-19 at the ArtsQuest Center and SteelStacks arts campus in Bethlehem.

¡Sabor!, the first festival to take place at SteelStacks, will feature three days of music, food and dance celebrating the region’s Latino culture.

Concerts and events will be held at three different locations at SteelStacks. Free programs will be offered at the ArtsQuest Center, Air Products Town Square and PNC Plaza. Two ticketed concerts – Arturo Sandoval on June 17 and Tito Puente Jr. & His Orchestra on June 18 – will also take place at the ArtsQuest Center’s Musikfest Café presented by Yuengling.

"Latinos make up just 5.7 percent of Pennsylvania's 12.7 million population, but account for nearly 43 percent of the population of Allentown and 24 percent of Bethlehem's 75,000 residents," said Myrna Rivera, chair of the Cultural Events Board for ArtsQuest, which is presenting ¡Sabor!. "These Latinos do not represent one particular nationality, but instead represent a culture. At ¡Sabor!, we invite everyone to come and join us as we share our culture."

¡Sabor! gets underway on Friday evening with performances by Andean folk musicians Runa Pacha, reggaeton artist Bolo Flow, Musikfest favorites Luisito Rosario y Su Orchestra and Latin jazz legend Sandoval.
