This week, we take you on a journey around the world. And the best part is you won't ever have to leave the Lehigh Valley!

From the Black Forest of Germany to the sun-soaked Amalfi Coast of Italy to a blues nightclub in Serbia, this is the weekend to get your cultural passport stamped and taste "la Dolce Vita!"

First Friday in South Bethlehem

The Saucon Valley Foundation for Educational Innovation presents its 

Where/When: , 1770 Meadows Road, Hellertown, Friday, March 4, 7 to 11pm.

Why Go: Because you had a lousy time at your high school prom and want to have the good time you could have had then, now! Or, if you had a great time at your high school prom, you want to experience the fun of it all over again! There's always a good reason to attend a "Parent Prom."

Ana Popovic performs at 2nd Story Blues

Where/When: 2nd Story Blues, 1205 Broadway, Fountain Hill

Why Go: Ana Popovic is probably the best female blues guitarist ever from across the Atlantic. She was born in Belgrade, Serbia. In 2003, she was nominated for a W.C. Handy Award for best new artist, the first time a continental European was ever nominated. That means she's pretty good. She'll be back in June to perform at the Musikfest Cafe.

Why Go: Because Italian food is comfort food, and after a long winter, who doesn't need a little comforting courtesy of Mama's kitchen?
