Moravians and the End of Times

Recently there has been much talk about the world coming to an end. Some people fear the apocalypse will come on December 21 of this year, the day the Mayan calendar is ending. Last year a man from Florida announced several dates for the rapture to take place.

At the 2012 Friends' Day Moravian archivist, Paul Peucker, will speak about when Moravians expected the end of times. A little known fact is that even Moravian leader Zinzendorf tried to calculate the year the world would come to an end.

This afternoon will also be the opening of the new exhibit: "Lehigh Valley Landscapes" (until December 2012)
