Country hit maker Sara Evans and comedian Anjelah Johnson have both been scheduled to appear this spring at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center, Vision Entertainment Group has announced.
Evans is scheduled to appear at the Event Center on Thursday, May 16 at 8 p.m. in support of her newest album, “Stronger,” her first in six years.
Despite the recoding hiatus, Evans continued to tour and maintain close contact with her active fan base. She became an author, publishing two novels — The Sweet By and By and Softly and Tenderly.
She released a greatest hits collection that included four new tunes, and she’s continually remained a favorite at country radio thanks to such hits as “Born to Fly,” “Suds in the Bucket,” “I Keep Looking,” “Perfect,” “No Place That Far” and “A Real Fine Place to Start.”
Tickets for Evans' show range from $39.50 to $75 for suites.
Anjelah Johnson comes to the Sands on Saturday, April 13 at 8 p.m.
In the beginning of her career Johnson was a professional cheerleader for the Oakland Raiders. As an Oakland Raiderette, she was named Rookie of the Year and even performed in Super Bowl XXXVII. After that year she decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of acting.
She became an Internet sensation with her viral video “Nail Salon” which led to many stand up and performance opportunities.
That same year she joined the cast of “MADtv” as a series regular, which spawned another Internet sensation “Bon Qui Qui." This original character, a disgruntled fast food employee with no filter, has been enjoyed, viewed and replicated by over fifty-five million people worldwide.
In June 2009 Johnson recorded a one-hour special for Comedy Central and Warner Brothers Records. A second special is set to be released from her hometown of San Jose, Calif. this year.
Tickets are $35 and $50 for suites.
