Cheap Trick Coming to Sands Event Center

Classic hard rockers Cheap Trick are scheduled to play at the Sands on Nov. 24. Tickets go on sale Friday.

 

Highly influential and oft-covered classic hard rock band Cheap Trick has been scheduled to play a concert at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center on Nov. 24, Vision Entertainment Group announced Monday.

Best known for hits like “I Want You to Want Me,” “Surrender” and the late '80s lighter-waving favorite, “The Flame,” the hard-touring band is this year celebrating the 35th anniversary of its self-titled first album.

Cheap Trick has performed 5,000 concerts, sold 20 million records and received 40 gold and platinum recording awards during a long, noteworthy career. They’ve influenced a long list of hard rock, punk and pop artists that followed including Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Weezer, Foo Fighters, Green Day and Fountains of Wayne.

Tickets for the Nov. 24 show will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, with prices ranging from $49.50 to $99.50. A pre-sale for My Sands and Music Insider members will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday. Signup info is located at http://www.sandseventcenter.com/visit/music-insider/. Presale lasts 12 hours.
