Buddy Guy, Boyz II Men Coming to Sands

Chicago blues legend, Rock n' Roll Hall of Famer Guy and Philadelphia R&B hit-makers Boys II Men are booked to play at Sands Event Center. Tickets on sale Friday.

 

Blues legend and Rock n’ Roll Hall of Famer Buddy Guy and Philadelphia 90s R&B hit-makers Boyz II Men are the latest acts to be booked to play at the .

Guy, 74, is a pioneer of the Chicago electric blues sound and one of the most influential guitar players in rock n’ roll history. Echoes of Guy’s style can be heard in the music of Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jonny Lang, who will share the Sands stage with Guy on September 7.

Lang, 31, might best be known for his 1997 hit "Lie to Me," and has been a member of the “Experience Hendrix” Tour, which pays tribute to the rock legend.

Tickets for Buddy Guy and Jonny Lang range from $39.50-69.50 for reserved seating and $100.00 for suite seating and go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.

Boyz II Men is the best selling R&B group of all time, having sold more than 60 million records worldwide.

This ultra-successful 90’s group is best known for hits like: “End of the Road,” “On Bended Knee” and “I’ll Make Love to You.” The group will play the SBEC on October 20, 2012. Tickets range from $25.00- $59.50 for reserved seating, and $90.00 for suite seating and also go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.

A pre-sale for Boyz II Men for My Sands members and Music Insider members for the Event Center will take place on Thursday, starting at 10 a.m. That is the same time a pre-sale will start for the show that had already been announced.
