Prayer Vigils Sunday in Bethlehem for Newtown School Shooting Victims

A Bethlehem prayer center will host a 7 p.m. vigil tonight for victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School mass shooting.

10:55 a.m. Update: There will be a vigil at Bethlehem's Central Moravian Church at 5 p.m. Sunday, according to a Lehigh Valley Live report.

A prayer vigil for the victims of the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Conn. will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at a Prayer Center, 529 E. Broad Street in Bethlehem.

“In times of deep felt sorrow, we need to come together to share our grief, to voice our outrage in edifying ways, and to pray,” Rev. Marilyn Arroyo Hartman, senior pastor of El Shaddai Bethlehem Ministries, stated when asked about the prayer vigil.

There will be a facilitator on hand to assist in the conversation.
