With a winter storm bearing down on the region and up to 8 inches of snow and sub-zero wind chills expected, numerous events planned for tonight in Bethlehem have been cancelled or postponed:
Bethlehem City Council, which was planned for 7 p.m., has been cancelled. Items on the meeting agenda have been pushed forward to the Feb. 4 agenda.
The Bethlehem Area Public Library has closed due to the weather. That means the educational session on Obamacare and the Winter Luau have been cancelled or perhaps postponed until a later date.
The Martin Luther King Jr. Day presentation at Zoellner Arts Center featuring civil rights activist and educator Angela Davis and hip hop artist Lupe Fiasco has also been cancelled. The Zoellner Website says to check back for a possible reschedule.
The ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks will close at 4 p.m. today and tonight’s film screenings have been cancelled. The Banana Factory closed at noon.
