$250K Cash 5 Prize Unclaimed, Check Your Tickets

Someone bought a winning Cash 5 ticket at Hess Express on Route 378 last August but hasn't claimed the $250,000 prize.

Pennsylvania Lottery Cash 5 players, check your tickets: a jackpot-winning Cash 5 ticket worth $275,000 from the Aug. 28, 2012, drawing is nearing its expiration date.

It was sold at Hess Express, 3622 Route 378, in Lower Saucon Township.

This prize must be claimed by Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, because Cash 5 prizes expire one year from the date of the drawing.

The soon-to-expire Cash 5 ticket correctly matched all five numbers drawn, 11-14-19-37-41, to win $275,000, less 25 percent federal withholding.

Players may check their own tickets using self-service scanners located at retailers and also found on Lottery self-service play terminals.

The Pennsylvania Lottery encourages the ticket-holder to sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim by Wed., Aug. 28 at any of Lottery’s seven area offices or at Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County. Claims may be filed Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at area Lottery offices and from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at headquarters.

By law, unclaimed, expired lottery prizes remain in the Lottery Fund and are used to support programs benefiting older Pennsylvanians.
