PIANIST CJ STEINWAY ADDS TWIST TO HIS PIANO BARS AT HOTEL BETHLEHEM WITH HOLIDAY SING-ALONGS

There are people who like Christmas songs and there are people who LOVE Christmas songs. The latter will be right at home when pianist CJ Steinway puts a twist on his regular piano bar gigs at the Hotel Bethlehem by turning them into Christmas sing-alongs.

His free holiday shows will take place Sunday, December 22 from 6 - 9 p.m. and Friday, December 27 from 7 – 10 p.m. in the lobby of the hotel (instead of in the Tap Room where the piano bar is usually located) so as to allow guests to gather around the piano. He will provide songbooks of Christmas standards to ensure everyone knows the lyrics and can join in. Guests are invited to sing solos, duets, trios or as part of the larger group. All ages and vocal abilities are invited to participate. CJ’s repertoire is vast and he can also improvise when needed.

The two holiday piano bars are actually an anniversary of sorts for CJ. It was a few days before Christmas last year that he was knocking around a few holiday favorites with friends at the grand piano in the lobby of the Hotel Bethlehem in an impromptu set. A crowd gathered around to sing along, and this caught the attention of the Hotel's Director of Food & Beverage, Kathleen Brown. She was looking for a new musical act for the Tap Room and CJ was interested in bringing his piano bar gig to his old hometown. At the beginning of 2013 he began his bi-monthly piano bar gigs and the rest is history.

As a sought-after private piano and voice coach in suburban Philadelphia, CJ sees making music as something everyone should get to experience and participate in, and the piano bar sing-alongs allow exactly that.

CJ Steinway will resume his regular bi-monthly piano bar format at the Tap Room at the Hotel Bethlehem from 6 – 10 p.m. on January 5 and 17, and also February 2 and 21. More details on upcoming gigs can be found on his Facebook fan page at https://www.facebook.com/CJSteinway
