The photo is of Alfonso Bedoya in "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre" - a John Huston film starring Humphrey Bogart. Widely considered to be a classic, In 1990, it was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant". The film was among the FIRST 100 films to be selected, The title of this piece - "License? We don't need no stinkin' license" is a play on a famous scene from the movie between Bedoya's character - "Gold Hat" and Bogart as Fred C Dobbs: Gold Hat: "We are Federales... you know, the mounted police." Dobbs: "If you're the police, where are your badges?" Gold Hat: "Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges! I don't have to show you any stinkin' badges!" This line is also #36 on AFI's top 100 movie quotes. The photo is not racist.
