Thursday: 'Decoding Annie Parker' Red Carpet Premiere

Also at SteelStacks, Larry Holmes and James "Buster" Douglas appear for another night of boxing.

Walk the red carpet at a movie premiere and contribute to the Cancer Support Community of the Lehigh Valley tonight at SteelStacks.

"Decoding Annie Parker," starring Helen Hunt and Samantha Morton, is based on the true story of Annie Parker who watches her mother and sister fall victim to breast cancer. When she, herself, is diagnosed with the disease, Annie resolves to fight back against immeasurable odds. 

The Red Carpet Reception from 5 to 6:30 pm includes live entertainment, pink champagne, light fare and a silent auction. The movie premiere is at 7 p.m. in the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas.

Following the movie, all guests are invited to join St. Luke's women's cancer experts for a panel discussion led by Tricia Kelly, MD, FACS, board-certified surgeon specializing in breast surgical oncology; gynecologic oncologist Israel Zighelboim, MD, FACOG, FACS; and Andrea Smith, MS, CGC, Genetics Counselor.

Tickets are from $35 to $100.

  • Eight action packed bouts will highlight the night at "Fight Night at SteelStacks II" scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday at the Musikfest Café in the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks. Former Heavyweight Champions James "Buster" Douglas and Larry Holmes will be on hand for a VIP ticket holder reception and autograph signing. Tickets are from $35 to $120.
