Snow, Sleet, Freezing Rain Forecast Sunday

An inch to 2 inches of snow and sleet, followed by a coating of ice, are expected tonight.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Bethlehem and the rest of the Lehigh Valley as we can expect to see snow, sleet and freezing rain from late Sunday afternoon and through the overnight.

The advisory—which is set to begin at 3 p.m.—is meant to warn that frozen precipitation will cause travel difficulties, including slippery roads and low visibility.

The weather service says we can expect an inch or two of accumulating snow and sleet and another tenth of an inch of accumulating ice.

The advisory is slated to end at 5 a.m. Monday, as below freezing temperatures are expected to rise and the precipitation is expected to turn to rain for a soggy Monday morning commute.
