Moravian Museum of Bethlehem, 66 W Church St, Bethlehem, PA | Get Directions »
$7.00
Bethlehem, PA- The Hunt for History club is back for its third year! Join the club that’s just for kids on the first Saturday of every month in Historic Bethlehem. 2013 program highlights include an event with glass and rainbows, making paper, and the science of sound and music.
Join us January 5 and “Make 3D Magic,” as we explore Historic Bethlehem’s sculpture collection. “Sculpture,” said Pablo Picasso,” is the art of intelligence.” Learn about famous sculptors – local and worldwide – before creating your own 3-dimensional work of art out of clay, wire, and paper. The event will be held at the Moravian Museum of Bethlehem at 66 W. Church Street.
On February 2, fall in love with the sweetest treat of all, chocolate. During “Will You Be My Valentine,” guests will uncover the bittersweet past of the 2,000 year-old treat and the delicious role it plays in American history and decorative arts. Make your own chocolate treat and decorate a bon-bon holder to give to your special someone, or keep for yourself! The event will be held at the Goundie House at 505 Main Street in Bethlehem.
Hunt for History club runs from 12pm to 4pm. Visitors can stop in anytime; children enjoy free admission. For the full 2013 schedule, visit historicbethlehem.org.
Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites launched the Hunt for History club as a way to engage children with local history and their community. The program is made possible through the generous support of the Helen and Maurice Jones Fund.
