Meet the Author: Katherine Howe

Ever wish you could ask a New York Times bestselling author for the secret to her success? Do you sometimes wonder just where the idea for a fascinating story came from? Have you longed to ask a beloved author why the plot went one way, instead of the other? If so, don't miss this unique opportunity!

Katherine Howe, author of the stunning novel The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane, will participate in a live video chat with participants on Tuesday, September 20th at 7pm in the Bethlehem Area Public Library, USA Today called her book “A hypnotic tale of the supernatural that has the publishing world quivering with excitement.” Before meeting the author via live video, check out these fun facts about her:

Katherine’s ancestors include Elizabeth Proctor and Elizabeth Howe. Both of these women were tried as witches during the Salem witch trials. Elizabeth Proctor survived, Elizabeth Howe did not.

Katherine is the host of National Geographic Channel UK’s special “Salem Witch Conspiracy” (coming soon to National Geographic Channel US.)

She came up with the book’s idea while walking her dog through the woods between Marblehead and Salem.

Katherine has degrees in art history and philosophy from Columbia and is working toward a PhD in American and New England Studies at Boston University.

The tentative title for her next novel is “The Scrying Glass.”

She once taught a research seminar called “New England Witchcraft.”

You can register for this one of a kind event here and place a hold on The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane here.
