Waiter With Sticky Fingers Nabbed in Police Sting

Six Bethlehem cops posed as businessmen to catch Hotel Bethlehem server in the act.

Bethlehem Police arrested a Historic Hotel Bethlehem waiter who has allegedly been pocketing cash collected at hotel restaurant Sunday brunches, according to this story in The Morning Call.

Salvatore Cardamuro, 23, of Allentown, along with two other hotel restaurant employees, has been charged with theft and receiving stolen property. He is free on $20,000 unsecured bail.

Hotel managers believe that they were missing some $25,000 in revenue over a 10-month period, which prompted them in asking for police help in nabbing the thief or thieves, the story said.
