On July 23, the five regional winners will be unveiled, and they will face off to become eastern Pennsylvania's Patch Top Dog from July 23 to 27. The winner will be announced July 30.

My vote today os for Mazey. She reminds me of my dog Oreo that I had for 16 years and it sounds like she brought as much joy to her family's life as Oreo did for mine. Black Labs are just so beautiful and love to be loved too! So sad that he is now gone but it sounds like he brought happiness to so many!

Tried to delete the 1st post - This is in my heart-

Mazey May was a rescued dog also and suffered greatly before we adopted her. Someone threw her away like garbage. We saved her. She was about 1 year old when we saved her life from that awful shelter. At 10 years, she developed a hole in her lung that leaked air under her skin & she had 1/2 of that lung removed by the University of Penn Matthew J Ryan Hosp in Philly so she could live more years with her Mommy & Daddy. She was deathly ill. Huge metal staples closed her chest & they remained in her chest for the last 3 years of her life that we were fortunate enough to have her love and devotion. Every single day she was happy. Every single day. So were we.

I am so sorry Mazey May is no longer here, I cannot speak to her or hear her. We still weep for her. The house is quiet & dark. I wanted to tell you all to please love and be kind to your dogs. All they want is to hear your voice. It doesn't matter what you are saying - just talk to them. Let them hear you. Kiss them, hug & love them. Every day. There is no greater love than that of a pet who is your loyal and faithful friend. They never ask for much but give so much of themselves in return.

Thank you to everyone who has so far voted for Mazey May. I am humbled by that.

I am so very proud that Mazey May was nominated along with so many other good dogs.

Good luck to all the deserving dogs here. They are all winners. Every single one of them.
