Teenager Arrested for Growing Marijuana

17-year-old charged with possession with intent to deliver; connected to Hess Street melee.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested by Bethlehem police on Tuesday for having what they described as a “marijuana growing operation.”

The teenager, who was not identified, lives at 334 Vine St. and was charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana. The case is being referred to Northampton County Juvenile authorities, police said.

Police said the arrest comes as a result of its continuing investigation into a melee Saturday night on the 500 block of Hess Street in which. Police said the fight broke out during what was described as a “welcome home from jail” party for someone.
