Table Games Prove Popular at Sands

Craps, roulette and blackjack are making money for the Sands casinos in both the U.S. and Asia

Table games debuted at Pennsylvania casinos a year ago and have proven quite popular - and profitable - at the Sands in Bethlehem, according to this Morning Call report.

However, an anaylsis shows that casinos with packed VIP high-roller rooms in Asia far outpace U.S. properties when it comes to gaming profit, the report explains.

Sands Bethlehem's tables made $2,550 per table, per day in April, May and June.

The southside casino took in $25.8 million on its slot machines in July, besting its previous record of $24.5 million in July 2010, according to recent figures from the state gaming board. July was the highest-grossing month ever for Pa. casinos, according to this report.
