Rep. Hahn Joins House Agriculture Committee
State Rep. Marcia Hahn leaves House Gaming Oversight Committee to take spot on Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
State Rep. Marcia Hahn (R-138) has joined the House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, and resigned her position on the House Gaming Oversight Committee.
“We have an active farming community in the 138th Legislative district, as evidenced by the recent farmers town hall meeting I held,” Hahn said. “I’m pleased to join the committee and further represent their interests and needs at the state Capitol.”
The Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee maintains legislative involvement in all aspects of rulemaking related to agriculture and rural areas of the Commonwealth. The committee’s duties include promotion of farmland preservation through statewide and local programs of conservation easement, and overseeing the activities of the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, including agriculture research funding and promoting and direct marketing of farm products and farm vocations.
Hahn’s district includes the first and fourth wards of Bethlehem Township.
