Recycle Old Electronics for Free in Bethlehem
Bethlehem Recycling Bureau will take old televisions, microwave ovens and other electronics during collection event today and Saturday at Memorial Pool.
The Bethlehem Recycling Bureau will collect used electronics – including televisions and microwave ovens – for recycling free of charge today and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Memorial Pool parking lot on Illick’s Mill Road.
The bureau will also collect Freon-bearing items, but will charge a fee. The same goes for tires, batteries and fluorescent light bulbs, though automotive batteries will be taken free of charge, according to the bureau's Website.
The fee schedule for collections is:
- Dehumidifiers, $10
- Air conditioners, $20
- Refrigerators, $25
- Floor-standing freezers, $25
- Fluorescent light bulbs, $1
- Alkaline batteries, $1 per pound
- Tires (off rim), $2
- Tires, (with rim), $3
- Truck tires, $5
- Tractor tires, $15 and up
