Obama Campaign to Open SouthSide Office

President's re-election campaign announces that the office at 13 E. Third St. will open Thursday.

The re-election campaign of President Barack Obama is planning to officially open a field office in South Bethlehem on Thursday night.

Mayor John Callahan, other community leaders and staff from Obama for America will be on hand for the grand opening of the office at 13 E. Third St.  Things will get started at about 6 p.m.

That is the same address where campaign and Democratic National Committee leaders last month announced a push to organize Latino voters to support the president.

The Obama campaign has already opened field offices in Allentown and Easton.

Each field office serves as the community hub for the organization’s activities in the area, where volunteers remain focused on reaching out to their neighbors to talk one on one about the President’s record.

The volunteers are going to have a very difficult time talking one on one about Obama's record as President. His policies have resulted in the largest job loss in history and the slowest economic recovery since the great depression. Latinos are smarter than to jump on the bandwagon of a socialist President if they want to make something of their lives and for their families. Obama doesn't foster confidence for businesses to expand and hire more workers because of the cost and uncertainty of Obamacare and other tax increase ideas he proposes.

As if Romney could do any better @Patrioit2. maybe you should open your eyes because OBama has been a great president under the circumstances hes in. including a congress filled with republicans that don't care about anything besides making themselves richer. Obama happen to get elected when the economy was already coming down, he couldn't stop what Bush caused. So maybe you should get your fact straights buddy boy.

The economy was cranking along in record numbers under Bush but went south when the dems took over congress in January 2007 and Barney Frank and Chris Dodd exploded the housing bubble thru Fannie and Freddy mismanagement. They are the ones that pushed everyone owning a home whether they could pay for it or not.

Wow, Filipe. You certainly are easily influenced. I'm guessing you REALLY enjoy Kool-Aid because you've drunk just about every drop they've served you. It's called "class warfare" and you've bought into it, hook, line and sinker. Obama doesn't care about you or anyone else. He cares about votes and power. He hopes to garner both by starting this war between those who have, through hard word, been successful and those who haven't. It's a totally false premise you've made about the rich simply wanting to get richer. What the so-called "rich" REALLY want is to PROTECT what they've EARNED. If you believe the "rich" are stupid enough to think they couldn't survive WITHOUT the non-wealthy buying the products they manufacture and distribute, then you really ARE as dumb as Obama THINKS you are. Good luck with that.
