Man Shot in South Bethlehem

Police say Jischke Street resident walked in on a burglary at his home this afternoon.

A man was rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill, after he was shot in the 500 block of Jischke Street in South Bethlehem, according to this report on wfmz.com.

Kevin Cook, 39, was shot twice interrupting a burglary at his home, according to this report by The Express-Times. He came home to find three men inside his house, police said.

Cook was in surgery at the hospital, the report said. The newspaper quoted an eyewitness who said he was visibly wounded in the leg and torso.

Police believe the burglars may have fled in a dark-colored 2002 BMW sport utility vehicle with Connecticut license plates.
