Labor Day: What's Open, What's Closed
Government offices, schools and banks will be closed; but most stores, the Memorial Pool and the ArtsQuest Center will be open.
What’s Open:
- The Bethlehem Memorial Pool in Monocacy Park is open for the last day of this summer, from 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- The ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks will be open from noon to 9 p.m., including the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas. The Mike & Ike Bistro will be closed, however.
- The Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem will be open, including the Shoppes at Sands.
- Most retail stores, including supermarkets, department stores and drug stores. Check individually to find out about hours.
What’s Closed:
- Bethlehem Area School District schools and offices.
- Bethlehem City Hall
- Bethlehem Township government offices. Bethlehem Township Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. instead of Monday.
- City recycling centers. If you are scheduled for curbside collection, pickup has been rescheduled to take place on Saturday.
- The Bethlehem Area Public Library
- U.S. Post Offices
- District Judge offices
- Pennsylvania Liquor Stores
- Any county, state or federal government offices
- Most banks
